Spain is a wonderful yacht charter destination with rich local culture, beautiful landmarks, wonderful gastronomy and a highly agreeable Mediterranean climate. Whether you start or finish a yacht charter in Barcelona, the Spanish race calendar is diverse and exciting.
Located just half an hour’s drive from OneOcean Port Vell and Port Olímpic, the Circuit at Barcelona-Catalunya hosts the Spanish Grand Prix annually, as well as other race fixtures including the V de V Endurance Series, CatalunyaRX (the FIA Rallycross World Championship), Catalan MotoGP™ and the Barcelona Speed Festival.
For spectators at the circuit, Grandstands E and F at Elf corner (Turn 1) are great vantage points, as it is one of the track’s potential opportunities to overtake.

Monaco Grand Prix is an experience not to be forgotten and one of the world’s most glamorous motor racing events with a plethora of Champagne-fuelled parties, celebrity appearances and an electric atmosphere.
All eyes will be fixated on Monte-Carlo on Sunday 27th May when drivers compete over 78 laps in the main race confirming it as one of the French Riviera’s leading events. Demand is high so book far in advance – race viewing options vary from Formula 1 Paddock Club™ packages to the ultimate fan experience where you never miss the action with first-class hospitality on luxury yachts berthed trackside at Port Hercules.
If the high-octane Formula 1® race is too glitzy for you, don’t miss the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique 2018 which will be held two weeks prior to the Formula 1® race on the same circuit. This year, around 180 historic Grand Prix vehicles will take to the streets of Monaco including a new race for pre-war A-series cars.
22-24 June Formula 1® Grand Prix de France, Le Castellet, FRANCE
Located inland at Le Castellet between Marseille and Saint-Tropez, the last French Grand Prix hosted at the Circuit Paul Ricard was held here in 1990 before it moved to Magny-Cours until 2008.
After a decade-long absence, French charm has reignited a spark within the F1® franchise because the French Grand Prix returns to Le Castellet in 2018, where drivers will be challenged by a circuit named after pastis magnate Paul Ricard and featuring local Provençal references such as the Mistral straight and Virage de Bendor.
The 2018 Formula 1® Grand Prix de France race weekend is the perfect reason to combine fast cars with a French Riviera yacht charter that allows you to easily cruise between Saint-Tropez, Toulon, La Ciotat, Cassis and Marseille.
31 August-2 September Formula 1® Gran Premio Heineken d’Italia, Monza, ITALY
The Monza race has been a big attraction for racing enthusiasts since it appeared on the Formula 1® calendar in 1950. The legendary Autodromo Nazionale Monza race track, also known as ‘La Pista Magica’ (the magic track) has a remarkable allure, especially with Ferrari fans.
Taking place at the convergence of the European summer and autumn seasons, F1® fans can usually expect dry weather at a race circuit with a rollercoaster heritage. Monza has celebrated incredible victories and tragically, played out some of motor racing’s largest accidents.
While the Monza track isn’t situated near a port, the Italian Grand Prix is a great shore excursion for any northern Italian yacht charter. Yacht charter guests can go from coastline to circuit in less than 3 hours on-ground (or between 1-1.25 hours via helicopter transfer) from Genoa, Portofino or Venice as well as discover the nearby fashion capital of Milan or stunning Lake Como.
14-16 September Formula 1® Singapore Grand Prix, Marina Bay, SINGAPORE
Visiting the vibrant city of Singapore is fantastic any time of the year, but chartering a luxury yacht and mooring at Marina Bay allows you to be at the heart of the action for this spectacular night race with the city skyline as a wonderful backdrop.
Renowned for its cosmopolitan diversity, Southeast Asia is flourishing as a yachting hub and Singapore Grand Prix is a memorable occasion to book a yacht charter, whether for business or pleasure.
Spend some time soaking up the Singaporean welcome – delve into the local food scene or sip a casual sunset drink at Clarke Quay, discover the attractions on Sentosa Island, or enjoy international concerts at post-Grand Prix after-parties.
VIP yacht packages can extend your Southeast Asian charter so you can take in the beauty of Tioman Island, go diving at the Anambas Islands or charter a course for exotic anchorages with beautiful scenery.
23-25 November Formula 1® 2018 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Marina, ABU DHABI
Supercars and superyachts merge in the closest way possible when the Yas Marina Circuit comes alive to the smells and sounds of race action for the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Abu Dhabi’s climate is warm in November making it a pleasant location for twilight racing and an appealing invitation to experience the thrills and excitement of the Formula 1® curtain call race before discovering the party atmosphere and entertainment on Yas Island.
It doesn’t get much better than race viewing on board a multi-deck yacht with a glass of Champagne!
