It’s that time of the year again – ski season is upon us but despite the traditional French and Swiss Alps keeping their appeal, British buyers are now discovering the lifestyle and financial benefits Austria’s ski properties have to offer.
The most recent Spotlight Report ‘Alpine Property Market 2015/16’ by Savills reveals that Austria’s strong domestic economy and record low interest rates have resulted in a national house price growth of 41% since 2008. Despite the increase, Austria’s ski properties are still up to 50% cheaper than resort property in the Swiss and French Alps, triggering a growing interest from savvy UK buyers.
