Audi have released the prices for the new R8, with the V10 model starting at £119,500 (that’s before any extras are added).
Audi have confirmed the new two-seater will be sold with a 601bhp 5.2-litre V10 petrol engine and newly developed Quattro four-wheel drive system enabling it to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 3.2sec with a top speed of 205mph.
The Audi R8 was due an upgrade as the existing model is now 8 years old.
This new version hosts an array of new cutting edge technology including laser headlights and the virtual cockpit that was first seen in the Audi TT.
Initially the car will be available in two models, the 533bhp V10 and the 602bhp V10 Plus.
The V10 plus will be given performance upgrades to the engine, seats and on-board technologies including bucket seats and a more multifunctional steering wheel, prices will start from £137,500.
The new R8 will also have an LD interior light package that illuminates the glass-covered engine compartment and foot wells.
Audi has also confirmed that all buyers of new R8’s will receive an Audi Driving Experience at Silverstone circuit, to help them realise the true performance potential of their cars.
